Rooted in the Cape Breton Highlands
In 1990, Glenora became North America's first single malt whisky distillery — drawing on the Scottish traditions carried to Cape Breton by Highland settlers two centuries earlier. We distil with water from MacLellan's Brook and age in warehouses just steps from where you sleep.
We won the "Battle of the Glen" — a decade-long legal fight to use the word "Glen" in our name — because Cape Breton's Gaelic heritage is real, not borrowed. That story is baked into every bottle.
