BATTLE OF THE GLEN - 15 Year Old Canadian Single Malt Whisky
The Scotch Whisky Association launched its law suit against us in 2000, shortly after the release of our first bottling proudly called "Glen Breton Rare.” A media frenzy soon followed in newspapers, magazines, online newsletters, forums, and blogs. We, North America's only Single Malt Whisky distillery, were a hot topic amongst both the international and local communities. Upon a hard-fought victory in the summer of 2009, we decided to dedicate a bottling to celebrate this epic battle. Fittingly, we called it the "Battle of the Glen.”

Tasting Notes
Nose - Subtle, summer-cut applewood, with undertones of Highland honey;
Taste - Taking by surprise, come the waves of malt, powerful, but without overbearing, then a complex orchard of flavour;
Finish – With a rich and almost lubricious mouth feel, the malt withdraws into heat, resolving into the warm caress of an enduring companion. The peat character is very subtle, tasting like wisps of hardwood smoke and evoking memories of autumn leaves.
Gleann Dubh (The Dark Glen)- 16 Year Old Peated - 750ml- 43% Alc/Vol
"Gleann Dubh" is Gaelic for "The Dark Glen"
By definition, a "glen" is a small valley. As it turns out, although it originally referred to glens in Scotland and Ireland, today the term is applied to any valley, wherever it may be found, such as in the Highlands of Cape Breton.
Inevitably, Glenora became subject to a lawsuit over its right to use the word "Glen" in a trademark for it's brand name. The battle was fought all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada, and when the smoke had cleared away it was Glenora that emerged victorious.
To match a growing reputation as the "black sheep" of the whisky world, a whisky with a darker expression was essential. So was born "The Dark Glen." Gleann Dubh is ours and this Glen is definitely dark. Enjoy "The Dark Glen."
Glen Breton Alexander Keith's 18 year old Canadian single malt whisky- 700ml, 43% Alc/vol.
Eighteen years ago, Glenora distilled several batches of Alexander Keith’s IPA, placed it in bourbon oak barrels and tucked it away in a dark corner of a warehouse in the magical hills of Cape Breton.
After 18 years of quietly maturing, it garnered a wonderful taste of malted barley that was enhanced by the spring waters and apple trees scattered throughout Glenora’s property.
The end result is a whisky with soft notes of maple cream, butterscotch, and a rounded lingering light applewood finish. As with Alexander Keith's IPA, those who like it, will like it a lot.

Bruce Jardine Reserve 25 year Old - 750ML, 43% aLC/VOL
Having reached this momentous milestone of 25 years, Glenora felt it necessary to honour Bruce Jardine, the original founder of Glenora. Bruce Jardine passed away in 1999 before the release of his dream – a single malt whisky produced in Cape Breton.
The team at Glenora is proud to continue Bruce’s dream and has released a very limited bottling of single malt whisky that Bruce himself helped to distill in the fall of 1990. It is a superb dram that honours not only the memory of Bruce Jardine and his family, but also the dream that is Glenora Distillery.
Glen Breton Triginta- 30 year old Single malt whisky
“Triginta” - Latin for 30
For 30 years Glen Breton has been one of the best kept secrets in the world of single malt whisky.
These casks have been aged silently and in isolation for thirty years in three different barrels, twice in bourbon oak barrels and once in Sherry butts. We present to you a refined distinguished single malt of superbly unmatched and well balanced quality.
Glenora takes great pride in this fine whisky with notes of sweetness and heather with highland complexities that are known through all Glen Breton Malts.
Glen Breton Ice
One of our fans suggested we experiment with the award winning Nova Scotia winery Jost Vineyards, requesting to use one of their oak barrels. Jost Vineyards agreed, and supplied us with the barrel used to make their Ortega Ice Wine. We decided to use it for finishing one of our cask strength whiskies. Ice Wine is powerful in its own unique way, which is why Glenora tasted the whisky each day as it picked up trace hints of sweetness and fruit from the Ortega Ice Wine grapes. After 4 months we felt the ideal finish was achieved, leaving us with a truly unique whisky.
